AirSENCE integrates both electrochemical and optical sensors known for their high sensitivity, selectivity, and long operational life. When paired with robust machine learning-based signal processing and data fusion techniques, AirSENCE creates a reliable and scalable Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) sensor network for continuous environmental monitoring.

AirSENCE captures a wide range of data to provide a comprehensive view of local air quality. It measures key gaseous and particulate pollutants, including NO, NO₂, CO, O₃, SO₂, VOCs, CO₂, HS, CH₄, NH₃, PM₁₀, PM 2.5, and PM₁. In addition, AirSENCE records environmental parameters such as wind speed and direction, rainfall, ambient noise, and luminescence, offering valuable insights into the broader atmospheric context.

One of AirSENCE’s standout features is its portability. With a compact footprint and weighing just over 2 kg, it can be easily deployed across various locations—including traffic signal poles, streetlights, and road dividers—enabling flexible and in-situ monitoring. This allows for highly representative air quality mapping across diverse urban or industrial settings.

Housed in a durable, IP65-rated weatherproof polycarbonate enclosure, AirSENCE is built to perform reliably even in harsh environmental conditions, making it a robust solution for long-term outdoor deployment.

AirSENCE features a proprietary sensor layout and design that, when combined with active air sampling and optimized internal airflow, delivers multiple performance benefits. This unique configuration ensures consistent and reliable operation, even under high pollutant concentrations and harsh weather conditions. AirSENCE also incorporates A.U.G. Signals’ proprietary algorithms that intelligently compensate for ambient temperature and humidity changes, sensor aging, enabling accurate measurements throughout the sensor’s lifespan—which exceeds two years under typical operating conditions.

Installation is quick and simple, requiring only the insertion of a local SIM card and connection to a power source. Prior to shipment, every AirSENCE unit undergoes reference-grade collocation calibration, ensuring high accuracy from day one. With minimal maintenance requirements and no routine consumable replacements, AirSENCE offers a truly low-effort monitoring solution.

At the core of each device is an embedded microcomputer that processes raw sensor data locally. This on-device computation converts signals into refined, ready-to-use pollutant and weather data—ensuring data integrity before transmission to the cloud.

In addition, each unit comes with a 32GB onboard SD card, capable of storing several years of data. A built-in auto-sync mechanism ensures that no data is lost during network disruptions, maintaining a complete and reliable record over time.
